vmebus enclosureA key design goal of the CM ATR chassis is to offer reliable interconnectivity between the VME board I/O signals and the external application.

The power connection is also critical since power units manage high current rates capable of generating extreme heat on pins and wires. Therefore CM chassis implement only oversized military Class I power connectors.

VME64x J0 and J2 connectors are fitted with long pins and incorporate a pin shroud at the backplane rear. J0 is hard metric and can incorporate board slot keying features.

All connectors designed into the chassis are military standard components. This allows the user to easily find the corresponding mating connector on the open market.

The chassis front panel can be user configured to fulfill specific system requirements.

Our customers can specify the layout, type and quantity of front panel connectors. CM offers a recommended set of circular MIL-C-26482 or MIL-C-38999 connectors that are well suited for a variety of applications. A blank front panel is also available.
